Q: Which parts are
covered under the 24‑Month/Unlimited‑Mile Limited Warranty?
This
warranty covers a majority of Service Replacement Parts when installed by a
General Motors dealership, including GM Original Equipment brakes, rotors,
alternators and starters, plus their ACDelco equivalents.
Q: How does the Limited
Lifetime Warranty work?
General
Motors offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty on specific service parts such as
chassis parts, fuel pumps, ignition‑wire sets, radiators, shock
absorbers/struts and wheel bearings. GM will replace these Genuine GM/ACDelco
parts for manufacturer defects and includes 24 months of labor coverage. The
warranty remains in effect for as long as the original purchaser owns the
vehicle on which the part was installed.
Q: Are there shorter‑term
warranties available?
Yes. A 12‑month/unlimited‑mile
warranty covers select ACDelco replacement parts-including Advantage wheel
bearings, shocks and struts, brakes and chassis parts-when they are installed
by a GM dealership.
Q: What is excluded from
these parts warranties?
The
warranties do not cover fluids or additional parts needed to complete an
installation, damage caused by improper installation or alterations, improper
application or use of parts not specified by General Motors, or
incidental/consequential damages.
Q: What must I do to
claim warranty coverage?
You must
be the original purchaser and return the vehicle to a Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or
Cadillac dealership with a copy of the original repair order showing the
eligible part was installed by a GM dealer. Parts replacement is covered, and
labor is covered up to two years from the original purchase date.
